How to care for your comforter?

At Bonnesoeurs, our comforters are designed by Boncoeurs. Selected for their practicality, the comforters have removable covers. Both a source of warmth and a true decorative accessory, the comforter is equally at home in the bedroom as it is in the living room. Comforters, used daily in the rooms of the house, are subject to the various stains and dust we impose on them. It is therefore necessary to maintain them properly to keep them beautiful and cozy, allowing them to reign supreme in the home for as long as possible. That's why the Bonnesoeurs team has put together a short guide to help you learn everything about comforters and their care.

What is a comforter?

A comforter is a cross between a duvet and a bedspread: this piece of clothing is warm, cozy, and quilted, but smaller than a duvet. A comforter is placed on top of a duvet at the foot of the bed.

What materials for our quilts?

At Bonnesoeurs, the comforter isn't just a decorative accessory: it's an everyday object, designed to last, provide comfort, and beautify your home. The materials used in the Boncoeurs comforter play a key role in its longevity.

100% Cotton Cover: Soft to the touch, the cotton is delicately crafted here. Its texture gives the comforter a soft and fluffy appearance that sits perfectly on the bed or sofa.

100% Polyester Filling: Lightweight and soft, the synthetic filling provides good support and ideal thermal comfort. It also offers good durability over time, without sagging quickly.

Finishing: Closure with five brass buttons in the shape of a sacred heart

Made in India: Boncoeurs quilts are made with respect for authentic Indian know-how.

How to care for your comforter?

A beautiful comforter deserves special attention to maintain its softness, comfort, and shine throughout the seasons. Here are our tips for caring for your comforter:

Machine wash at 30°C
Select a delicate cycle and turn the comforter inside out before putting it in the washing machine. Use a mild detergent without bleach. As with all quality linens, we recommend washing your comforter alone for the first wash to avoid any color transfer.

Very gentle spin
Prefer a low speed spin to preserve the fibers and avoid any deformation.

Air drying
Lay it flat on a drying rack in a well-ventilated, shaded area (avoid direct sunlight, which could mark your comforter). Avoid tumble drying to maintain the shape and quality of the filling.

Taking care of your comforter extends its beauty and comfort. With a few simple steps, your decorative piece will remain a cozy companion.
